1. INTRODUCTION
A warm welcome to the module Leading Professionals in Learning Communities (EDMN814) in the specialisation Educational Leadership, Management and Policy. This is a 32-credit compulsory module for the coursework component of the Master of Education (MEd) degree. The module is quite onerous and requires intensive work over a relatively short period. It, therefore, requires your focused attention, dedication, application, and timeous completion of allocated tasks. Attendance at every synchronous online teaching and learning session is compulsory.
2. AIMS OF THE MODULE
The aims of the module are to:
· Introduce you to theory, research, policy, and practice in leading professionals in learning communities in educational organisations.
· Enhance your understanding of the theories which are relevant to a study of leading professionals in learning communities within a constantly changing educational context nationally and internationally.
· Engage you in critical discussions on leading professionals in learning communities supported by national and international scholarship.
· Promote critical reflection/reflexivity on your practice and those of others in your educational organisation.
